Remodel - month 7

Seven months into this project, we are definately seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! We have three functional bathrooms. Everyone has a bed and clothes in their own room. Most rooms still have things to do, like light switches to change out, Allys shower door to hang, touchup paint, etc... but in general the bulk of the main portion of the house is done and can start to be put together. I wont even begin to decorate much until this winter when the dust settles!

Back in time

As I was organizing for my impending move, I came across some old photos and newspaper clippings. I love seeing the old photos and articles on my family from days long gone. Below is my great-uncle who owned the same ranch I now own. He is sitting next to our neighboring ranch owner, whose family also still owns their ranch next door. Both ranches have been in the family for over 100 years. Both ranches, except for a few housing improvements, look the same as they did back when these two men were in charge. Both ranches are also protected so 100 years from now, they will look the same.

Nature at its finest

Winter is sometimes dreary and the sunny days are few and far between. With the fog and cold it is nice to have a quick escape to the ranch in hopes of finding the sun shining and the wildlife abundant.

A bald eagle (older juvenile - his white head is starting to show and his wing span was about 6')
